Syfte

Syftet med provet är att utvärdera elevernas förmåga att diskutera aktuella samhällsfrågor på engelska, uttrycka åsikter samt argumentera för sina ståndpunkter i enlighet med centralens innehåll och betygskriterier.

Undervisningen syftar till att utveckla elevernas förmåga att diskutera aktuella samhällsfrågor på engelska. Genom att utforska olika ämnen ska eleverna uppmuntras att uttrycka sina åsikter, argumentera för sina ståndpunkter och lyssna på andras åsikter. Eleverna ska ges utrymme att använda det engelska språket i en interaktiv och meningsfull kontext.

Provets bedömning kommer att ske på följande sätt:

Faktafrågor: Varje korrekt svar ger 1 poäng. Totalt 15 poäng kan erhållas. Resonerande frågor: Varje korrekt och välutförd resonemang ger 2 poäng. Totalt 16 poäng kan erhållas.

• För betyg E krävs minst 8 poäng (varav minst 3 poäng från resonerande frågor).
• För betyg C krävs minst 12 poäng (varav minst 3 poäng från resonerande frågor).
• För betyg A krävs minst 18 poäng (varav minst 5 poäng från resonerande frågor).
