Denna läxa syftar till att ge årskurs 7 elever träning i att identifiera och bedöma trovärdigheten i informationskällor på engelska. Genom övningar fokuserade på att hitta pålitliga källor och värdera nyhetsartiklar utvecklar eleverna sin källkritiska förmåga, något som är viktigt för att navigera säkert i dagens informationsflöde. Läxan stöder repetition och lärande av grundläggande källkritiska frågor på engelska som hjälper elever att tänka kritiskt och analysera innehåll.

Läxan kan anpassas för elever som behöver extra stöd genom exempel med enklare språk och tydliga frågor, medan mer avancerade elever kan uppmuntras att motivera sina bedömningar utförligt.

Skrivuppgifter

Skrivuppgift 1: What makes a source reliable?

Describe in simple words what a reliable source is. Include three questions you can ask to check if a source is trustworthy. Try to use some of the vocabulary words from the list.
Svarslängd: ca. 150 ord (en halv sida A4).

Skrivuppgift 2: Evaluate a news article

Choose a news article you find online or in a newspaper. Write a short evaluation of it, answering these questions: Who is the author? Is the source reliable? Is there bias? What makes you think so? Use examples from the article.
Svarslängd: ca. 300 ord (en halv sida till en sida A4).

Skrivuppgift 3: Discuss fake news and social media

Write an essay discussing how fake news spreads on social media, why it is dangerous, and how people can protect themselves using critical thinking. Use examples and explain the importance of asking the right questions about a source.
